Abstract

This Special Issue welcomes papers that address co-creation in migration and refugee studies, reflecting upon aspects such as ethical issues, and how to ensure that the participation of those with nonacademic credentials or those in vulnerable situations is truly done to improve the participants’ lives, and not against participants’ needs. Furthermore, methodological reflections about the implication of doing co-creation as an underlying aspect of the research process regarding the debate of objectivity subjectivity in investigation, on ethical issues on the use/conservation of data are welcome. Besides this, contributions focusing on the pedagogical design and implementation of interventions for migrants/refugees involving formal, non-formal and informal settings are appreciated. Finally, the Special Issue welcomes empirical cases discussing the potential of co-creation to generate more effective strategies to engage with the social realities of refugee and migrant peoples, and how these strategies can be used for the improvement of living conditions of endusers.
